Contradicting PSR

I was watching Great Wall with Matt Damon last night, and had to rewind in disbelief. At the beginning of the movie as they are being chased through the mountains on horseback, for a brief moment, you can see one of their pursuers holding his bow out to his side in a way that is unrealistic but easy to sculpt for a two part mold.
The movie has very little historical value, but still

Imagine the scene - the director says "Cut! Second Horseman, why are you holding your bow like that? It's not historically accurate."
Second Horseman: "I saw it on Plastic Soldier Review."
Director: "Oh! Okay. Print! Get set for the next scene then."
